Irv Segal graduated from yeshiva– Rabbinical College, with a B.A. in Talmudic law and led an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish lifestyle as a young adult.

After earning his certification as a computer programmer, he went on to hold a variety of jobs in the software field, and eventually started his own software services firm.

This book– Irv’s first work of fiction, was inspired by his experiences living in an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. He has also authored several nonfiction books including Small Business Success: On Demand, How to Cash in on the Phone Company’s Biggest Mistake Ever, and he co-authored The Complete Guide to Property Tax Consulting.

Irv has five children from his first marriage, who are now grown with children of their own, and a stepson from his current marriage.
